Welcome to day three of of winter awards consideration coverage, so far we've showcased Netflix's For your consideration billboards and HBO's FYC campaign, but today it's the turn of everyone else, from Apple TV+ to Hulu, Amazon Prime Video to Showtime, TNT to Starz and more.
We're not saying this is an an exhaustive list, and some studios, streamers and networks start earlier than others, but it's a good snapshot of this season's FYC campaigns trying to turn heads in L.A.'s pandemic skies.
First up is a consideration billboard for Apple TV+'s sports comedy, Ted Lasso, starring Jason Sudeikis as an American Football coach hired to manage a struggling English soccer (or as we say in Britain and the rest fo the world, football) team.
The Ted Lasso 'For your consideration' billboard was spotted along Santa Monica Boulevard on December 20, whilst the series launch billboard was photographed along Beverly Boulevard on August 14, 2020.
Apple TV+ was also hoping that people would consider their political documentary feature, Boys State. The film from Amanda McBaine and Jess Moss follows 1,100 teenage boys from different backgrounds who travel to Austin, Texas to compete in a mock election campaign to become state governor.

From one streaming platform to another, and Hulu was also supporting some of its high profile shows this awards cycle, including the sophomore season of the comedy from Golden Globe winner Ramy Youssef.
In this second season of Ramy about a New Jersey Muslim and son of Egyptian immigrants trying to find his way in life, Mahershala Ali guest stars as the leader of a Sufi mosque.

Hulu's television adaptation of Celeste Ng's 2017 bestseller Little Fires Everywhere garnered five Emmy nominations, so let's see how the mini-series starring Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon and exploring themes of race, class and motherhood fares this awards season.

Another Hulu series hoping to stand out this awards season, with the help of some nifty special extension cut-out billboards, is the period comedy-drama The Great.
Elle Fanning stars in this show about the rise of Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia, with Nicholas Hoult as Emperor Peter III.

From Hulu's original series to movies and 2020 was certainly a good year for the Groundhog Day comedy, Palm Springs.
The romantic comedy finds Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti stuck in a time loop at a wedding in the desert.
This series of four consecutive FYC billboards which perfectly communicate the theme of the movie were photographed above the I-10 on the outskirts of the actual Palm Springs, California on December 21, 2020.
And speaking of films from streamers, Riz Ahmed is getting rave reviews for his starring role in Amazon Prime Video, Sound of Metal.
In the movie he plays a heavy metal drummer whose life is thrown into turmoil when he starts going deaf.

During the pandemic lockdowns, more and more people have discovered Amazon's adaptation of The Boys comics books by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
The sophomore season of the satirical superhero show was back for more graphic sex and violence, with its all-star cast of Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Jack Quaid Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Laz Alonso, Aya Cash and more bringing the capes and non-powered characters to life.
These FYC ads for season two of The Boys was snapped along Olympic Boulevard and Venice Boulevard from December 9, 2020 to January 9, 2021.
Prime Video was also shining a spotlight on director Steve McQueen's collection of five films, Small Axe.
The film series told stories based on real-life experiences of London's West Indian community between 1969 and 1982, and starred the likes of John Boyega, Letitia Wright, Shaun Parkes, Amarah-Jae St. Aubyn, Sheyi Cole and Kenyah Sandy.
Each installment of the anthology film series delved into issues of police harassment, racist justice systems, discrimination, incarceration and love.

In the world of documentaries, Amazon was also bringing audiences the film Time, about Sibil Fox Richardson's fight for the release of her husband, Rob, who is serving a 60 year prison sentence.

Who Is Gatsby Randolph? That's what the documentary from Kobie Randolph explored about the filmmaker's rags to riches rise in Hollywood.

Another documentary looking for your consideration was Showtime's My Psychedelic Love Story. Errol Morris film is an examination of the notorious high priest of LSD, Timothy Leary, told through the lens of his famed lover Joanna Harcourt-Smith.

Showtime was also campaigning for its limited series adaptation of James McBride's 2013 novel The Good Lord Bird, starring Ethan Hawke as abolitionist John Brown and told from the viewpoint of a freed teenage boy (Joshua Caleb Johnson).

Another drama up for consideration this awards season is the Bryan Cranston legal crime drama, Your Honor.
The actor stars as a New Orleans judge trying to protect his son after he becomes entangled with the a crime family after a hit-and-run accident.

Now that Donald Trump has lost his presidential re-election attempt and led a failed insurrection in the nation's Capitol, many people will no doubt want to forget about him and move on.
So it'll be interesting to see if The Comey Rule mini-series, in which Jeff Daniels and Brendan Gleeson starred as former FBI Director James Comey and the 45th U.S. President in a tale of differing ethics and loyalties, power and corruption, will score any nominations this season.

There have been a lot of streamers running FYC campaigns this cycle, but as the awards season has been stretched and delayed due to COVID-19 and less Oscar hopefuls have opened theatrically, there appears to have been less of the smaller sophisticated and more arthouse films advertising for consideration.
Once such example however is for Sony Classics The Father, which stars Anthony Hopkins who plays a man who refuses aid from his daughter (played by Olivia Colman) over time.

Back in the world of television, TNT's sequel to their adaptation of The Alienist, subtitled Angel of Darkness, is hoping for some recognition this year.
The period crime thriller set in 1897 New York stars Daniel Brühl, Dakota Fanning and Luke Evans based on Caleb Carr's 1997 novel follow-up to The Alienist.

Another TNT show campaigning this season is the television remake of the dystopian Snowpiercer movie based on the 1982 French graphic novel by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette.
The series which shines a spotlight on social class systems with the remnants of humanity living on a never-stopping train that hurtles around a frozen futuristic Earth, is hoping to resonate with critics and voters now.

And the final series hoping for consideration is the Starz crime drama spin-off Power Book II: Ghost, which continues the journey of some of Power's most controversial characters.

So as you can see, even though the coronavirus has disrupted the entertainment industry so much in recent months, there's still life in the awards consideration campaigning in the world of outdoor advertising in Hollywoodland.

The comedy sequel has scored three Golden Globes, for Best Picture - Musical or Comedy, Sacha Baron Cohen and Maria Bakalova. Plus the actress is also nominated for a SAG Award and Critics' Choice Award, and the film for Best Comedy of the latter awards.

Starz was also shining a spotlight on its crime drama Hightown starring Monica Raymund and set in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

The fifth season of Starz television adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's time-traveling romantic drama, Outlander, was also hoping for consideration for the series and its stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan.
