This year and awards season Regina King's feature film directorial debut, One Night in Miami, is becoming the talk of the town.
The Oscar-winning actress brings us a tale of four black legends, based on Kemp Powers 2013 stage play of the same name.
The drama gives us a fictional account of the historic meeting at Miami's Hampton House Motel between four icons, Malcom X (Kingsley Ben-Adir), Muhammad Ali (Eli Goree), Jim Brown (Aldis Hodge) and Sam Cooke (Leslie Odom Jr.), as they discuss their roles and responsibilities in the civil rights movement of the 1960s.
These movie billboards were photographed along the Sunset Strip, Olympic Boulevard and Venice Boulevard from January 8 to 9, 2021.
Aldis Hodge admirers can also enjoy these City on a Hill billboards and these Underground billboards.
Meanwhile Leslie Odom Jr. fans can check out these Harriet movie billboards and for another Kingsley Ben-Adir ad creative take a look at this Soulmates billboard.
Let's see if this one-of-a-kind movie can impress audiences and industry awards voters alike this brand new year.
UPDATED: Congratulations to the film for scoring three Golden Globe nominations (Best Director for Regina King, Best Supporting Actor Leslie Odom Jr. and Best Original Song 'Speak Now' by Odom Jr and Sam Ashworth) and two SAG Award nominations (for Leslie Odom Jr. and Outstanding Ensemble Cast).
These nominee billboards were spied above Ventura Boulevard and San Vicente Boulevard from February 18 to 19, 2021.
