This time the action moves from the battlefields of World War II to the 1980s to face two all-new foes, 'Maxwell Lord' (PedroPascal) and 'The Cheetah' (Kristin Wiig), with her Lasso of Truth and her Themyscira-honed battle skills.

Only time, reviews and fan reaction will tell if Wonder Woman can soar once again in solo action.
She may not be able to smash box office expectations this time around, but she may be able to rescue Christmas for many this festive season (and shine brightly for HBO Max with a healthy dose of new subscribers).
