When you see billboards like these for Hillbilly Elegy, with Glenn Close and Amy Adams playing against type, you known that awards season is in the air.
Now streaming on Netflix the film is based on J. D. Vance's 2016 memoir, Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis, and sees a Yale Law student (Gabriel Basso) urgently called home by his heroin-addicted mother (Amy Adams) to his Ohio hometown, where he reflects on his Appalachian family's past (including with his grandmother, 'Mamaw', played by Glenn Close) and his future.
These Netflix movie billboards were snapped along West Hollywood's Sunset Strip from November 22 to 24, 2020.
Glenn Close admirers can also check out these billboards for The Wife movie, whilst Amy Adams fans can enjoy these Arrival film billboards, these Sharp Objects billboards and these American Hustle movie billboards, to name a few.
The reviews haven't been kind to director Ron Howard's latest movie, but as 2020 has proven again and again, anything can happen this year, so don't count Hillbilly Elegy out this awards season.
