In her burgeoning career Anya Taylor-Joy has played many roles, an accused witch, a kidnapped teenager, Jane Austen heroine and mutant sorceress to name a few, and in The Queen's Gambit she plays an orphaned chess prodigy with an addiction problem.
The Netflix mini-series is based on the 1983 novel by Walter Tevis of the same name and follows 'Beth Harmon' from age eight to twenty-two, from the mid-1950s into the 1960s, in her quest to become the world's greatest chess player whilst struggling with emotional issues and drug and alcohol dependency.
These captivating series launch billboards which look right at you were snapped along Sunset Boulevard and Pico Boulevard from October 13 to October 27, 2020.

UPDATED: Congratulations to the mini-series for being deservedly nominated for two Golden Globe nominations (for Best Limited Series and Best Actress for Anya Taylor-Joy) and two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations (for the actress and for Bill Camp as the janitor chess tutor at the school).
The Netflix original also garnered three Critics' Choice Award nominations (for Limited Series, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for Marielle Heller).
