Wow, how is it the middle of November already? 2020 certainly has been a harsh year for many due to this ongoing coronavirus pandemic, affecting every aspect of our daily lives.
One industry that has been affected by the health crisis in a big way is the convention industry, with large live in-person events cancelled because of the dangers of COVID-19 and the possibility of them becoming superspreader events.
One such annual convention has decided to go online this year to meet the challenges of this brave new world, DesignerCon.
The Californian convention which celebrates art, toys, collectibles, design and apparel is going virtual this year from November 13 to 15, 2020.
This first trio of vibrant billboards for the online event were snapped along Fairfax Avenue and Melrose Avenue from October 27 to 28, 2020.
These creative billboards from today and years past highlight the wide range of styles and genres represented by this convention championing the art and design community.
This next wave of billboards were photographed along Fairfax Avenue and Melrose Avenue from October 30 to November 6, 2019, and were for last year's live three-day event at the Anaheim Convention Center.
And this following batch of 2018 Dcon billboards were spotted along La Brea Avenue and Fairfax Avenue from November 1 to November 16, 2018.
Unlike previous years, the 2020 convention will bring together streaming commerce with fans and collectors using the latest technology with the help of Popshop Live.
VIP tickets get access from Friday at 5pm whilst general admission starts on Saturday at 10am, delivering all your favourite artists and brands virtually.
And this final Pasadena Convention Center billboard was spied along Fairfax Avenue on October 21, 2017.
Hopefully DesignerCon will be able to go live and welcome attendees again next year, until then enjoy the weekend.
