Bread, glorious bread. Where would be be without this doughy delight. You can make yummy sandwiches between two slices, or toast it and smear it with all kinds of deliciousness, or dip it into a nice hearty soup. It makes your mouth water just thinking about the possibilities, doesn't it?
Daily Billboard also loves bread with bits in it, whole grains, seeds and oats, especially if it's organically made by a company that fosters sustainable agricultural practices.
In the latter part of summer the skies of L.A. have been filled with billboards for Dave's Killer Bread and their socially conscious messages about second chances and the greatness within us all.
In addition to making delicious loafs, buns and bagels, the bakery founded by Dave Dahl and headquartered in Milwaukie, Oregon, supports second chance employment, hiring the best person for the job regardless of their criminal history, giving everyone a chance to change their lives for the better.
These wholesome bread billboards were captured along La Brea Avenue, La Cienega Boulevard, Melrose Avenue and Beverly Boulevard from August 11 to September 2, 2020.
It's nice to know that when you're buying a product it's not just a soulless commodity and that the company behind it has principals and ethics that make the bread taste even better.
