Yesterday we shone a spotlight on this year's Netflix Emmy nominees filling the city skyline, and today it's the turn of FX's nominated dramas and comedies.

First up is FX's period drama mini-series, Mrs. America, which tells the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), and the unexpected backlash led by a conservative woman named 'Phyllis Schlafly'.

The show set in the 1970s is nominated for Outstanding Limited Series, plus Cate Blanchett is recognised for her portrayal of Schlafly as Lead Actress.

Meanwhile Uzo Abuda gets a Supporting Actress nod for playing the iconic 'Shirley Chisholm', alongside Margo Martindale for portraying 'Bella Abzug' and Tracey Ullman for bringing 'Betty Friedan' to life on the small screen, the feminists and political activists fighting for women's equality.

The series follows the lives of New York's City's Black and Latino gay and transgender characters during the early 1990s, trying to thrive and survive in the ballroom culture scene amidst the AIDS epidemic.

Emmy winner Billy Porter is once again nominated for Lead Actor for his role as ballroom emcee 'Pray Tell', but the show's trans cast who delivered stellar performances this season, including MJ Rodriguez, India Moore and Angelica Ross, were once again snubbed by the TV Academy.
