This summer Seth Rogen brings the funny in his new original movie for HBO Max, An American Pickle.
Based on Simon Rich's 2013 short story, Sell Out, which was published in four parts in The New Yorker, the film follows 'Herschel Greenbaum', a struggling Jewish laborer who emigrates to America in 1920 with dreams of building a better life for his family. There, working at his factory job in Williamsburg killing rats, he falls into a vat of pickles and is brined for 100 years.
Perfectly preserved, he awakens in present-day Brooklyn to find he hasn't aged a day and seeks out his family, only to discover that his only surviving descendent, his great-grandson, 'Ben Greenbaum' (also played by Rogen), is an app developer he barely understands.
These film billboards were snapped along Fairfax Avenue, Santa Monica Boulevard, Melrose Avenue, 3rd Street and Hollywood Boulevard form July 29 to July 31, 2020.
