This summer if you're missing the blockbuster action on the big screen, then Netflix has the perfect antidote with its new original film, The Old Guard.
Charlize Theron headlines the action-packed movie directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and based on writer Greg Rucka and artist Leandro Fernandez's comic book of the same name.
She plays 'Andy', a centuries-old immortal warrior, 'Andromache of Scythia' from Greek Mythology, who leads a clandestine team of long-lived mercenaries with remarkable healing abilities, including Matthias Schoenaerts 'Booker', Marwan Kenzari's 'Joe' and his lover 'Nicky' (played by Luca Marinelli).
These legends of old who have different perspectives on their immortality are hired by Chiwetel Ejiofor's former CIA agent 'James Copley' to rescue a group of kidnapped school children in South Sudan when the mission takes an unexpected turn.
Meanwhile they sense a new immortal is born when KiKi Layne's U.S. Marine 'Nile Freeman' is fatally attacked in Afghanistan.
Andy must reach Nile before nefarious interests can expose their secret longevity, and harvest and exploit her and her fellow immortals for pharmaceutical medicines and profit.
These Netflix billboards for the action fantasy film were photographed lining West Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard on July 8, 2020.
Charlize Theron fans can also enjoy these Mad Max: Fury Road billboards, these Huntsman movie billboards and these Long Shot movie billboards, to name a few.
Meanwhile for another adaptation of Greg Rucka's work, make sure you check out these Stumptown billboards.
Forever may be harder than it looks, but this may be one Netflix film that has staying power compared to previous motion pictures from the streaming service.
The Old Guard may be just the blessing you are looking for during these uncertain pandemic times.
