Tenet movie billboards...

In these days of countless teaser trailers and social media spoilers, it's almost impossible to retain the secrecy around a new film.

However there are some directors who like to shroud their latest cinematic offerings in mystery, just like Christopher Nolan and his new sci-fi thriller Tenet.

What we do know is that John David Washington stars as an operative of the organization Tenet, tasked with preventing World War III and time manipulation is involved in the action somehow.

The enigmatic spy thriller also stars Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh and Michael Caine.

Obviously the mystery here may be when the movie is actually released in cinemas now that it has been officially moved from 2020 (and you can thank all those people not wearing masks or taking this global pandemic seriously for that, even the film's star is sporting a mask in this key art when you flip the image).

UPDATED: After much toing and froing, Tenet will now be released in cinemas on September 3, 2020, hoping to salvage what it can of the summer box office during this global pandemic.
