If you thought you didn't have enough television to watch, along comes another streaming service to supply hours of shows and movies, NBCUniversal's Peacock.
The good news this time is that this one if free to watch (although there's also a Peacock Premium with ads and ad-free for a monthly fee of $4.99 or $9.99, respectively that unlocks extra content).
The Peacock platform will be home to thousands of hours of television with beloved sitcoms like 30 Rock, Cheers, Frasier, Will & Grace, Parks and Recreation, The Office, Monk, Married... With Children and more, reality shows like Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Real Housewives, and dramas like Downton Abbey, Bates Motel, Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire, Yellowstone and Murder She Wrote.
The avian streamer will also offer movies like E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, Jaws, Mamma Mia!, Back to the Future, American Pie, Shrek, Jason Bourne, Despicable Me, and the Fast and Furious film franchise (although some films will be subject to availability windows), plus sports (although unfortunately the 2020 Olympics has been postponed a year due to the global pandemic) and earlier late-night delights from The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Like many streaming services there'll also be new original shows on offer like the sci-fi series Brave New World, UK detective drama The Capture, David Schwimmer's cyber crimes comedy Intelligence, a brand new Curious George animated series, a Where's Waldo animated caper, the movie sequel Psych 2: Lassie Come Home and more new, revived and rebooted offerings.
