With moves like these, Starz new stripper drama P-Valley can't help but stand out in the city skyline this summer.
Created by playwright Katori Hall, the new series follows the lives of strip club dancers in the Dirty Delta with all of the episodes directed by women.
At the Pynk strip club in a run-down city in the Mississippi Delta the gender nonconforming owner of the joint, 'Uncle Clifford' (Nicco Annan), asks the experienced 'Mercedes' (Brandee Evans) to show the mysterious newbie 'Autumn Night' (Elarica Johnson) the ropes, or the poles.
Based on Katori Hall's 2015 stage play P***y Valley, the eight episodes explore the lives of these women trying to break into and leave this business.
