Tom Hanks new movie may have missed out on a theatrical release due to the current health crisis, but cinemas loss is Apple TV+'s gain as the war film Greyhound surfaces on the streaming platform.
Based on the 1955 novel The Good Shepherd by C. S. Forester, Tom Hanks plays U.S. Navy Commander 'Ernest Krause' on his first wartime assignment aboard the USS Keeling, codenamed Greyhound, tasked with protecting an Allied convoy stalked by Nazi U-boat submarines in early 1942, only months after America officially entered World War II.
These movie billboards were snapped along West Hollywood's Sunset Plaza on July 8 and above Wilshire Boulevard on July 9, 2020.
Tom Hanks admirers can also enjoy these Bridge of Spies movie billboards, these Saving Mr. Banks movie billboards, these billboards for The Post movie and these billboards for A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, to name but a few.
And if Greyhound doesn't float your boat this weekend, there's more cool summer movies available on competitive streamers with Netflix's comic book fantasy The Old Guard and Hulu's romantic comedy, Palm Springs, offering up something fresh to watch.
