In light of the ongoing demonstrations across the country to protest police brutality, racism and social injustice, Daily Billboard reached into our archives from last year for these American Son movie billboards which feel more timely than ever.

The Netflix drama is based on the Broadway play of the same name and stars Kerry Washington as a mother waiting at a Miami police station to find out news of her missing teenage son.
Joined by her estranged white husband, played by Steven Pasquale, they soon learn their son and his friends were pulled over by the police and he was shot and killed during the incident.
These billboards for the Netflix TV movie were photographed along the Sunset Strip from October 21 to October 23, 2019.
Kerry Washington fans can also enjoy these Scandal billboards, these Confirmation film billboards and these Little Fires Everywhere billboards.
Meanwhile Steven Pasquale admirers can check out these Do No Harm TV billboards.
There have been too many real life stories that mirror this film, so there's never been a better time to rethink and reform policing policies, demilitarise police equipment and reinvest money in local community initiatives, from housing to infrastructure, homelessness and mental health, education and outreach programs.
