Belgravia season 1 billboard
If you're looking to be transported to a world far from the problems of the current era, then maybe the new historical period drama Belgravia can satisfy your cravings.

The six-part series is named after the affluent district of London, England and based on Julian Fellowes 2016 novel of the same name (who also created Downton Abbey).

The drama is mostly set twenty-five years after the Battle of Waterloo and centres on the complex relationship of frenemies, Tamsin Greig's nouveau riche 'Anne Trenchard' and Harriet Walter's established 'Caroline, Countess of Brockenhurst', and their desire to preserve their families standing and keep hidden potentially scandalous secrets from the past.

Of course aside from mysterious family secrets, class divides and corsets, love is in the air for Jack Bardoe's 'Charles Pope' and Ella Purnell's 'Lady Maria Grey'.

And remember, if you think we're facing tough times with the coronavirus pandemic at the moment, back in the 19th century they had to deal with outbreaks of cholera, typhus, smallpox and more, with far less medical knowledge and resources to handle the situation.
