In normal times Amazon Studios and Prime Video would be doing the same for critically-acclaimed series like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Transparent and Fleabag, but we do not find ourselves in normal times in 2020.
Instead at the moment, rather than focusing own its Emmy hopefuls, Amazon has given up several of its regular heavily trafficked OOH advertising spaces to partner with humanitarian charity originations helping those most in need during this global pandemic.
Plus Amazon Studios has also provided $1 million to the Jon & Vinny's restaurant group to prepare meals for local charities feeding those in need in the L.A. area with the help of other nearby eateries.
This 'F.Y.Community' outdoor ad campaign shines a light on the Covid-19 Response Fund, Feeding America, Save The Children and the World Food Programme and the billboards were snapped along Beverly Glen Boulevard, Bundy Drive, San Vicente Boulevard,Westwood Boulevard and Olympic Boulevard from May 13 to May 27, 2020.
Be sure to visit the websites and see what you can do to help these amazing organisations.
Another Amazon-owned company advertising in the city skyline of late is Whole Foods Market, with these billboards thanking their essential frontline grocery staff workers.
Daily Billboard is sure that the Whole Foods team members appreciate this show of support, but maybe they'd appreciate higher salaries and basic minimum wages than an expensive outdoor PR campaign.
This quartet of Whole Foods Market billboards were snapped along La Cienega Boulevard at Holloway Drive on May 13 and an additional billboard was spied above L.A.'s 3rd Street on May 14, 2020.For more COVID-19 pandemic ad creatives capturing this historic moment in time, make sure you check out these other L.A. coronavirus billboards and these Fox Studios Thanks billboards showing appreciation for our essential workers and healthcare heroes.
Be safe, be kind, be grateful and help how you can during these uncertain times, and most importantly at the moment wear a mask in public to help stop the spread of this virus and help flatten the curve in your community, allowing us all to get back to normal and out of lockdown even faster.
