His first offering to go live for the streaming giant is Astronomy Club: The Sketch Show, the first all-black house troupe for the Uprights Citizen Brigade, and has performed in stand-up venues all around New York City.
Back in the summer HBO was also bringing more black talent to the small screen, with Robin Thede's A Black Lady Sketch Show, where she brings the funny alongside Ashley Nicole Black, Gabrielle Dennis, Quinta Brunson and guests in the series.
These billboards to launch A Black Lady Sketch Show were spied along Highland Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard from August 14 to August 16, whilst the extension cut-out Astronomy Club billboard was snapped along Melrose Avenue on December 9, 2019.
For more fun comedy shows, make sure to also check out these Black-ish, Grown-ish and Mixed-ish billboards.
If you're looking for some fresh new laughs from a different perspective this year, then it looks like these two shows may be able to put a smile on your face.
UPDATED: Netflix's Astronomy Club may have been cancelled after one season, but congratulations to HBO's A Black Lady Sketch Show for receiving three Emmy nominations this awards season, including Outstanding Variety Sketch Series.
This Emmy nominee billboard was spotted along Santa Monica Boulevard on August 14, 2020, and another smaller version snapped along National Boulevard on August 26, 2020.
