The macabre aristocratic clan were first created by Charles Addams and originally published as a satirical cartoon comic strip in The New Yorker from 1938.
Famously starring in their own live-action television series for two seasons from 1964 to 1966, The Addams Family also found live-action fame in two theatrical release films in 1991 and 1993 with Raul Julia as 'Gomez' and Anjelica Huston bringing 'Morticia' to life.
Now the husband and wife are finding new life in the animated film alongside their children 'Pugsley' and 'Wednesday', Gomez's brother 'Uncle Fester', his mother, his 'Cousin Itt', their butler 'Lurch' and the handy 'Thing'.
This time around the creepy and kooky family are venturing to a scary new neighbourhood to live, New Jersey, but are their new neighbours quite ready for their gruesome charms?
This animated installment boasts an all-star voice cast for the ghoulish family including Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloƫ Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Snoop Dog and Bette Midler to name just a few.
These movie billboards were snapped along Beverly Boulevard, Olympic Boulevard, Vine Street, La Brea Avenue, Highland Avenue and Melrose Avenue from September 21 to September 30, 2019 (although there do seem to be a shortage of female characters from the film haunting the city skyline).
The eye-catching 3D lightbulb installation for the Uncle Fester billboard was created with the help of Atomic Props & Effects.
For more outdoor ads to get you in the mood for Halloween, make sure you also check out these ParaNorman movie billboards, these Hotel Transylvania film billboards and these Disneyland Halloween Time billboards.
Let's see if the mysterious and spooky clan's animated adventures will be as much of a scream as their live-action counterparts this Halloween.

UPDATED: Here's also an ad creative for the family's manservant Lurch (and Thing), spotted along Beverly Boulevard on October 25, 2019.
