Fortunately the weather gods have been kind some days allowing Daily Billboard to whizz around the sprawling city capturing as many of these Emmy FYC billboards for your enjoyment.
This year the abundance of Emmy consideration billboards seems to have increased dramatically, thanks in part to all the new streaming service offerings, from the likes of Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, CBS All Access and many more besides.
First up today for this collection of ads we're shining a spotlight on Amazon and its original comedies, dramas and documentary series.
After campaigning for groundbreaking shows like Transparent in years past, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has certainly become the jewel in the streaming platform's crown.
Consecutive Golden Globe winner for the last two years, Rachel Brosnahan plays the housewife turned comic from the Upper West Side in this period comedy-drama set in late 1950s New York City.
For its debut season the show scored twelve Emmy nominations and took home eight of those, including for Lead Actress in a Comedy, Outstanding Comedy Series, writing and directing for Amy Sherman-Palladino and Supporting Actress for Alex Borstein as 'Miriam "Midge" Maisel's' stand-up circuit agent, 'Susie Myserson'.
Last December Mrs. Maisel returned to delight audiences with a marvelous sophomore season, taking viewers on adventures to Paris and a summer holiday resort in the Catskills.
In the all-new ten episodes there were new relationships to explore, stand-up road trips to take, her first television gig and confessing to her parents what she did at night.
It's no wonder that Amazon is spending big once again outdoors to support its award-winning show, although this year previous category winners, Julia Louis-Drefus and Veep, returned for a final season of comedy on HBO, which could make things interesting.
This marvelously cohesive 'Call it' billboard campaign featuring key characters and moments from the series were photographed around the skies of L.A. from April 18, 2019 to June 23, 2019, indulging along the Sunset Strip, Pico Boulevard, Melrose Avenue, Santa Monica Boulevard, Olympic Boulevard, San Vicente Boulevard, La Cienega Boulevard and Westwood Boulevard.
And if you like this campaign, be sure to also check out the season one Emmy billboards for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel as a comparison.
Another Amazon Prime Video original hoping for Emmy attention this year is the Julia Roberts drama, Homecoming.
Just like with premium cable channel HBO, Amazon has been luring big Hollywood names to headline its television projects.
Based on a fictional podcast of the same name, the Hitchockian drama follows 'Heidi Bergman', a caseworker at a facility called Homecoming helping soldiers like Stephan James 'Walter Cruz' readjust to their civilian life after wartime.
However in the psychological thriller years later she soon realises there's more to the reason she left the facility than she thinks.
These Emmy consideration billboards for the ten-episode drama which also starred Bobby Cannavale were snapped along Melrose Avenue, Pico Boulevard, Olympic Boulevard, Highland Avenue and 3rd Street from May 8 to June 12, 2019.
Nominated for three Golden Globes, let's see if Homecoming can score as many or more Emmy nominations this season.
However let's see if news that Julia Roberts won't return to headline the greenlit second season (only to executive produce the Sam Esmail-directed series) will hinder its chances.
In addition to comedies and dramas, Amazon also wants TV Academy members to consider its Lorena docu-series this season.
The four-episode series explores the high-profile Bobbit Trial and the real-life events of Lorena Bobbit slicing off her husband's penis after years of abuse in 1993 in Manassas, Virginia.
The series launch billboards were photographed along the Sunset Strip, San Vicente Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue from January 10 to February 8, 2019.
Meanwhile the Emmy consideration billboard was snapped above Sunset Boulevard on June 4, 2019.
Speaking of real-life scandals, and Amazon also had the dramatization of A Very English Scandal to campaign for this Emmy season.
The three-part mini-series explored the true story of closeted British politician Jeremy Thorpe (played by Hugh Grant) and his affair and subsequent murder attempt of his ex-lover 'Norman Josiffe' (Golden Globe winner Ben Wishaw) in the 1960s and 70s.
These Emmy consideration billboards for the acclaimed limited series were captured along Santa Monica Boulevard and 3rd Street from June 6 to June 23, 2019.
The streaming platform obviously likes using British talent as its six-part adaptation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's 1990 novel, Good Omens, stars Michael Sheen and David Tennant as odd-couple angel and demon friends trying to avert the end times on Earth.
These 'For Thy Consideration' billboards, which just qualify for the Emmys consideration calendar this year, were captured along La Brea Avenue and Highland Avenue from May 24 to June 12, 2019.
More British offerings come in the form of Phoebe Waller-Bridge and 'Hillary the Guinea pig' in the sophomore (and supposedly final) season of Fleabag.
The fourth wall-breaking comedy about femininity, sexuality, love and loss was supported by this updated consideration season two key art along Pico Boulevard on June 12, 2019.
Following a similar approach, passersby were also being asked to consider the first season of Matthew Weiner's The Romanoffs anthology drama of eight feature-length episodes along La Cienega Boulevard on a cloudy June 17, 2019.
Plus this FYC billboard for Amazon's television reboot of Tom Clancy's CIA analyst 'Jack Ryan' starring John Krasinski was spied above L.A.'s 3rd Street on June 12, 2019.
As you can see, Amazon has lots to shout about this season, so let's see how successful its Emmy campaigning will be when the nominations are announced on July 16, 2019.
Next up are a collection of Emmy FYC billboards for streaming platform Hulu, newly wholly owned by Disney.
This year the third season of Hulu's hit dystopian drama, The Handmaid's Tale, will qualify for next year's Emmy awards campaigning.
This year it streamed the mini-series remake of Jospeh Heller's 1961 satirical novel, Catch-22, about WWII U.S. Army Air Forces bombardier 'Captain John Yossarian' (played by Christopher Abbott) trying to cope with the madness of wartime missions and escape his increasingly absurd situation.
This series premiere billboard was spotted along Pico Boulevard on May 24, whilst the Hulu FYC version was first spied above Sunset Plaza on May 3, 2019.
Patricia Arquette is having a good year with starring roles in the debut season of Hulu's The Act and Showtime's Escape at Dannemora limited series.
In the true crime drama she stars as overprotective mother Dee Dee Blanchard, who was murdered by her daughter, Gypsy Rose Blanchard (played by Joey King), after years of abusing her by fabricating illnesses and disabilities and successfully convincing family, friends and medical professionals of these fictitious conditions.
The series launch billboards for The Act were photographed above Highland Avenue and Beverly Boulevard from March 14 to March 26, whilst the Emmy FYC ad creative for the "gripping double act" was snapped along La Cienega Boulevard on June 6, 2019.
This year Hulu offered up a new comedy series from the different perspective of American Muslim stand-up comedian, Ramy Youssef.

The series launch billboard for Ramy was snapped along Pico Boulevard on April 21, whilst the Emmy FYC version was spotted high over Beverly Boulevard on May 31, 2019.

This Emmy consideration for the rebooted TV series was photographed along Bundy Drive on June 23, 2019.
And finally for this collection of Emmy FYC ads, Jane the Virgin may be broadcast on The CW but it is produced by CBS Television, so we'll include this consideration for the fifth and final season of the romantic dramedy starring Gina Rodriguez in the titular role.
This vibrant 'Consider' billboard was snapped along the Sunset Strip above the Whisky A Go-Go club on May 29, 2019.
Stay tuned this week for many more roundups of streaming services, cable channels and networks campaigning for Emmy consideration for all their original series, documentaries, comedy specials, late-night talk shows and telemovies.
