HBO's hit drama Big Little Lies, based on the novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty, returns for a second season of secrets and untruths and adds Meryl Streep to the already all-star cast.
Originally billed as a limited series, the Golden Globe and Emmy winning series continues to follow the lives of Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz and Laura Dern's characters in Monterey, California, in the aftermath of the death of an abusive husband as the women's lives start to unravel under the pressure of keeping a deadly secret.
These watery teaser billboards for the sophomore season with their clever arrangement of the stars surnames to spell out 'new lies' were snapped along Sunset Boulevard from May 1 to May 3, 2019.
Meanwhile the ensemble cast billboards were photographed along Sunset Boulevard and 3rd Street on May 21, 2019.
Daily Billboard loves how the women's faces are slightly obscured by the show's title, as if they have something to hide.
Fans of the compelling drama can also enjoy all these series launch and awards consideration billboards for Big Little Lies.
Just when you thought your torment was over, what happens when the mother (Streep) of your dead husband (Alexander Skarsgård) comes to town wanting answers?
Can she see through the lies and get the truth, and is she as much a monster as her son was? We'll have to watch and see.
The first seven episodes directed by Jean-Marc Vallée made for a perfect mini-series, so let's hope the all-new seven episodes directed by Andrea Arnold maintain the integrity of the original tale without sending the story spinning into soap opera land.
Although with this calibre of actresses assembled is there any doubt that this season of Big Little Lies will make for spectacular viewing.
