Guy Ritchie directs the live-action version of Disney's beloved 1992 animated classic about the titular charming street urchin (played by Mena Massoud) who discovers a magical lamp which contains a wish-granting 'Genie' (Will Smith).
In a tale as old as time, Aladdin falls for the Sultan's beautiful and feisty daughter 'Princess Jasmine' (Naomi Scott) and with the help of his light-fingered monkey 'Abu' and the blue-skinned Genie, must keep the mystical lamp out of the clutches of the nefarious sorcerer vizier 'Jafar' (Marwan Kenzari) and his sidekick parrot 'Iago'.
Aladdin may have never had a friend like the Genie before, but can Will Smith fill the slippers of the Robin Williams whose voice talents made the animated lamp-dwelling magical creature a pop culture icon. Only the sands of time will tell.
These magical movie billboards were snapped along the Sunset Strip and Hollywood Boulevard on May 2, 2019, and the following day.

It's time for Aladdin to rub that lamp so he can steal the box office crown this coming weekend with his mix of adventure, romance, comedy and musical Arabian Nights.

UPDATED: Here are two more examples of cut-out and standard billboards for the movie spied along Pico Boulevard and La Brea Avenue on May 24, 2019.
They seem to have done the trick as Aladdin is looking like it will have a bumper box office opening of over $100 million over the long Memorial Day weekend.
