People behind-the-scenes may have disappeared, but Ian McShane's 'Mr. Wednesday' (also known as the Norse god 'Odin') and his bodyguard 'Shadow Moon' (played by Ricky Whittle) are back on their road trip to unite the gods of old against the new whippersnappers trying to usurp their influence and followers.
Based on Neil Gaiman's 2001 novel of the same name, the series explores the world's ancient beliefs and the new mythologies and temptations of technology and media. And there's a war brewing between the old and new gods and it's not going to be pretty.
These second season billboards were spotted along the Sunset Strip and above Santa Monica Boulevard from February 23 to March 4, 2019.
Fans of the Starz show can also enjoy these series launch billboards for American Gods from spring 2017 and these season one costumes for American Gods on display.
The first season went woefully over budget, and the second season won't feature the heavenly delights of Gillian Anderson or Kristin Chenoweth, so let's see if there's enough faith left in this shortened season of eight episodes to satisfy believers this time around.

UPDATED: As it's been so rainy and miserable of late in L.A., Daily Billboard hadn't noticed that American Gods had invaded the skies of L.A. with a veritable pantheon of outdoor ad creatives for the sophomore season.
These colourful 'Believe' billboards feature all the main players, old and new gods, revenants, leprechauns and wildcards.
This smattering of arresting ads were photographed at the busy intersection of La Cienega and Venice Boulevards on March 13, 2019.
Let's see if they're enough to tempt new viewers to believe in the show and sign up for Starz to watch.
