Fyre documentary billboards...

Fyre documentary jet ski billboard
You can tell how disastrous a musical festival was when it has two competing documentaries chronicling the chaos, one from Hulu (Fyre Fraud) and the other from Netflix titled Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened.

Chris Smith's documentary film explores how event organiser Billy McFarland conned thousands of people into shelling out thousands of dollars for a supposed luxury music festival on a tropical island in the Bahamas.
Fyre Netflix billboard
Rather than partying with famous celebrities, models and music acts and eating culinary chef-prepared food, the attendees found themselves sleeping on wet mattresses in tent cities, with few amenities, facing thefts and vandalism, as the proceedings turned crazy and into a social media meltdown.

This jet ski spouting cash was snapped along West Hollywood's Sunset Strip on January 19, 2019, and it reminds Daily Billboard of this billboard for Jackass 3D from 2010.

Sadly for the organisers, what happened in the Bahamas didn't stay on the islands.

UPDATED: Congratulations to Fyre for earning four Emmy nominations this awards season.

Wayne series premiere TV billboards...

Wayne series premiere billboard
At first glance when you see this billboard you think it's been vandalised with some graffiti art and then the penny drops, you see the visual joke, and you realise that's what you're supposed to think.

YouTube's new original series Wayne is giving the middle finger to the world and it's just what you'd expect from the writers of the Deadpool movie, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

The action comedy created by Shawn Simmons stars Mark McKenna as the titular teenage character who he sets out on a bloody road trip with his new crush 'Del' (Ciara Bravo) from Boston, Massachusetts to retrieve his dad's stolen '79 Trans-Am car in Florida.

This Banksy homage looks like it might even be flipping the bird to a certain border wall that people keep talking about (although this one is brick, not see-through or made from steel slats).

The boom and bust of the 90s were a turbulent time, but it's worth noting it's been just over a year since the Federal Communications Commission voted to gut net neutrality, so let's hope that the world wide web is there for everyone to access and enjoy in the future no matter how many greedy and corrupt politicians try and take it away from the people.

The Grand Tour season 3 TV billboards...

Grand Tour season 3 billboard
This January Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson and James May are driving back onto our screens for the third season of the globe-trotting motoring show, The Grand Tour.

And from the looks of this crashed jeep in a tree, they'll be up to their usual antics of test-driving cool cars and competing in various challenges in locales like Detroit, Scotland, Mongolia and Colombia.

Brexit film billboards...

Brexit HBO film billboard
Disinformation, propaganda and Russian interference, two things that the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election and Britain's referendum vote on Brexit (exiting the European Union) have in common.

Just like with the election of Donald Trump, no one really thought the British public would vote to leave the E.U., but the U.K. government did a poor job of communicating the dire consequences of leaving whilst the pro-leave contingent lied about windfalls of millions of pounds for the National Health Service and helped spread hate, division and intolerance about immigrants in the same way Trump campaigned in the U.S. with his wall rhetoric.
Brexit HBO billboard
One of the chief architects of the Vote Leave outcome was political strategist Dominic Cummings who is played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the new HBO docu-drama.

These HBO movie billboards were snapped along Beverly Boulevard and Pico Boulevard from January 18 to January 21, 2019.
Benedict Cumberbatch Brexit film billboard
No stranger to playing controversial characters, Benedict Cumberbatch can also be seen as Julian Assange in these movie billboards for The Fifth Estate and looking shifty in these Patrick Melrose billboards, whilst more heroic in these Doctor Strange billboards.
Brexit movie billboard
With politicians suggesting no real end in sight to the crisis in Britain and the American government still shut down, Daily Billboard is sure when we look back at history in the future the words Brexit and Trump won't be fondly remembered.

UPDATED: Here's also an Emmy consideration billboard for Brexit spied along Melrose Avenue on May 24, 2019. After all the pain and chaos it's caused, it's hard to imagine any Brits who would vote for this drama.
