In this series inspired by the life of former New York Giants linebacker Spencer Paysinger, Daniel Ezra stars as 'Spencer James', a high schooler from South Central, Los Angeles, who's recruited to play football for the Beverly Hills High Eagles by Taye Diggs coach 'Billy Baker'.
The former NFL player sees the potential in Spencer to help his team after a run of losing seasons.

Taking the opportunity to leave his dangerous neighborhood behind, but guilty about leaving his family and friends behind to pursue his dreams, the wide receiver moves in with the coach and his family, which causes some conflict with Baker's son and some of his new teammates.

These series launch billboards were snapped along La Brea Avenue, Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street from September 29 to October 12, 2018.

With NFL players kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality, racial inequality and social injustice, causing divisive debates about patriotism in the U.S., a name like All American for a football drama certainly stands out at this moment in time.
Sounding like a mashup of Friday Night Lights, The OC and The Blind Side, only time and viewers will tell whether All American can score a touchdown this fall TV season.
