This summer you won't need a magnifying glass to see Marvel Studios Ant-Man and the Wasp as they are getting the super-sized treatment in the skies of L.A.
The crime-fighting duo are starring in the first Marvel movie after the devastating events in Avengers: Infinity War, so their comedic antics and size-changing adventures should be a real palate cleanser.
If you're wondering where Paul Rudd's former criminal 'Scott Lang', aka 'Ant-Man', was in the latest Avengers cinematic installment then this movie sequel should help explain his whereabouts after the superhero Civil War and we'll also get to see Evangeline Lilly's 'Hope van Dyne' suit up as the wondrous 'Wasp', following in the footsteps of her missing mother.Michael Douglas will also reprise his role as 'Hank Pym', the original Ant-Man and the Hope's father, plus they'll face off against a gender-swapped phasing-thief 'Ghost' (played by Hannah John-Kamen).
Michael Peña also returns to supply more comedic relief as Scott's former prison cell mate, Laurence Fishburne will star as scientist and Hank Pym's rival, 'Bill Foster' (known in the comics as 'Black Goliath'), whilst Michelle Pfeiffer will play Hope's mother, 'Janet van Dyne', lost in the Quantum Realm years before and long thought dead.
The landscape billboards were first snapped above La Brea Avenue on May 29, and the other the cut-out extension and giant-sized billboards were photographed along Vine Street, Cahuenga Boulevard, Beverly Boulevard and the Sunset Strip through June 21, 2018.To casual observers if they've not kept up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the years they must wonder why Ant-Man is giant-sized in these billboards, but thousands of fans will know he can actually grow super-tall as well as shrink to the size of an insect.
Fans of the diminutive heroes can also enjoy these fun Ant-Man movie billboards from June 2015 and these Captain America: Civil War movie billboards from April 2016.
With Black Panther's strong Wakandan women, Captain Marvel's solo movie coming next spring and a Black Widow solo outing rumoured to be in development, there's never been a better time for strong Marvel female superheroes to step into the spotlight.
She may be small, but Daily Billboard has a feeling that the diminutive Wasp will make quite a huge impact on the big screen alongside Ant-Man.
