Daily Billboard feels slightly depressed and nauseous looking at these sophomore season billboards remembering the dystopian near-future world they conjure of fertile women used as baby incubators, regularly raped, their freedom and liberty replaced by misogyny, servitude and sometimes mutilation.
A modern world turned upside-down, where women are controlled entirely by men, LGBT citizens are slaughtered because of religious zealotry and democracy in America is dead.
Last year Hulu's critically-acclaimed adaptation of Margaret Atwood's 1985 novel not only resonated with viewers because of the current political climate, but also the women's movement in post-Trump America, garnering eight Emmys and two Golden Globes for its outstanding performances, cultural relevance and tone.
