The heartwarming film's Oscar nominations include Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Directing, Best Original Screenplay (also for Greta Gerwig), Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for Laurie Metcalf.
The coming-of-age tale is set in Sacramento, California in 2002 and follows high schooler and self-named 'Lady Bird' (Saoirse Ronan) who is desperate to grow up and fly the nest, much to the consternation of her hard-working, struggling to make ends meet mother (Laurie Metcalf).
Most teenagers (and parents) can probably relate to the friction Lady Bird experiences with her mother and that's why Daily Billboard feels that even though Alison Janney earned her Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her role in I, Tonya, Laurie Metcalf wholeheartedly deserves the Oscar for her heartbreaking performance in this film.
The 'Flat-out wonderful' billboard with a lot of heart was snapped along Sunset Boulevard at Fairfax Avenue on December 12, 2017.
Meanwhile the 'Time to Fly' Oscar consideration campaign billboards were photographed along West Hollywood's Sunset Strip on February 3, 2018.
Plus for more of this year's awards campaigning in the city skyline, make sure you also check out these billboards for The Big Sick, these Get Out movie billboards, these Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri ads, these billboards for The Shape of Water and these Darkest Hour movie billboards.
With such a diverse and strong field of competition this year, can Lady Bird defy expectations and take home some of the biggest awards of the night? It may be time for this sweet movie to fly even higher.
