This timely movie sees 'Chris', a young African-American guy, accompany his white girlfriend 'Rose' (played by Allison Williams) to meet her parents for the weekend at their secluded estate in the woods. At first they seem overly accommodating for their daughter's interracial relationship, then things start to take a sinister turn as Chris discovers the truth behind this initially welcoming facade.
In addition to the critical reception, the film's success is also notable as it came out so early in the year, with Academy Award contenders usually being culled from the back end of a year, but then the film made for only $5 million has amazingly grossed over $254.7 million at the box office globally.
The 'Do you belong in this neighborhood' movie teaser billboard, which tapped into the elevated racism and divisive state of the country after the U.S. Presidential election, was snapped along Melrose Avenue on February 13, 2017.
Meanwhile the giant 'The world we live in today' consideration billboard was spotted along West Hollywood's Sunset Strip on November 30, 2017 and the super-sized 'A film for the ages' version was photographed in the same ad location on January 10, 2018.
Let's see if academy members were mesmerized enough by the compelling, surprising and funny film to reward Get Out this awards season.
