World of Dance series premiere TV billboards...

At times NBC certainly earns its reputation for not having much originality, whether it be developing copy cat reality shows like Fashion Star emulating Project Runway and Ready for Love channeling The Bachelor, to dramas like Allegiance borrowing concepts from The Americans, or digging into its TV and film vaults to reboot, reimagine, or remake familiar franchises.

Following the success of their Fall hit, the past-and-present drama This Is Us, you'd think they'd continue to try to deliver more original concepts and programming.

This summer it's time for them to take a leaf out of Fox's So You Think You Can Dance, now in its fourteenth season, with their new reality competition World of Dance.

Hosted and mentored by Step Up dance movie star Jenna Dewan Tatum (where she met her husband Channing Tatum), the series also sports a celebrity panel comprised of superstar diva Jennifer Lopez, Dancing with the Stars Derek Hough and singer Ne-Yo.

Let's face it, NBC isn't the only culprit to steal shows and ideas from competitor networks and cable channels, just look at what happened recently when ABC snapped up the rights to revive American Idol after it was cancelled by Fox after fifteen seasons.

"You want fame? Well, fame costs. And right here is where you start paying... in sweat".

Let the dance-off begin.
