However after showing initial promise, ratings weren't out-of-this-world all season long and the high production costs meant that Superman's cousin will be moving to The CW for her sophomore season.
Melissa Benoist makes for a perfect 'Kara Danvers/Kara Zor-El' and now she'll get to suit up on the same network as DC Comics other TV heroes, Arrow, The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
Daily Billboard thinks that this 'Suit up' billboard first spied above the Sunset Strip on August 24, 2016, is just to tease us with Supergirl's imminent arrival, and encourage viewers to get up to speed by watching her first season repeated on The CW, and the hopeful heroine will soon be flying high in the skies once again.
Meanwhile the combined giant-sized billboard with all of The CW's live-action superhero shows was snapped on September 3, 2016, over in Burbank, California.
With a production move from Los Angeles to Vancouver, Canada, to help lower the show's budget, expect to see less of some characters like Calista Flockhart's 'Cat Grant', but be prepared to finally meet Kara's famous cousin with Teen Wolf's Tyler Hoechlin wearing the iconic red cape and for our plucky Kryptonian heroine to team-up and crossover with more heroes than just The Flash this season.
If you're a fan of the show and character, make sure you check out all these Supergirl season one billboards streaking through the L.A. skyline last Fall.
Let's hope that the addition of the Man of Steel doesn't steal the spotlight from our heroine this season.
Have a super weekend!
