Tom Hanks Sully movie billboards...

Tom Hanks Sully movie billboard
This September rather than remembering when two planes tragically crashed into the Twin Towers, think about when a pilot saved 155 lives when he safely landed a disabled plane onto New York's Hudson River in 2009.

Tom Hanks stars as 'Captain Chelsey "Sully" Sullenberger' who with his 'First Officer Jeff Skiles' (Aaron Eckhart) save the crew and passengers of US Airways Flight 1549 after hitting a flock of geese departing LaGuardia Airport on January 15, 2009, and were forced into an emergency crash landing on the Hudson when both their engines were crippled.

This biopic of 'The Miracle on the Hudson' not only tells that remarkable tale, but also the untold story of how after the event reporters and aviation investigators threatened to ruin Sully's reputation and career.

These Sully movie billboards were spotted around the streets of L.A. from Melrose Avenue to Westwood Boulevard, the Sunset Strip to La Brea Avenue from August 11 to August 18, 2016.

And if Sully doesn't satisfy your Tom Hanks fix this September, then don't despair you can also see the Hollywood icon return as 'Robert Langdon' in the movie adaptation of Dan Brown's Inferno at the end of October.

Until then, safe travels.
