Today we're kickstarting the week with one last roundup of
Emmy consideration billboards from various TV studios, channels and networks, but don't worry the skies will soon be filled with
Emmy nomination billboards if that's any consolation.
First up is this hilarious and intentionally cute
'basket of kittens' spoof billboard courtesy of
Comedy Central, snapped along the
Sunset Strip at the top of
La Cienega Boulevard on June 8, 2016.
The cable channel always has a fun billboard or two for awards season and if you like this example, be sure to check out these equally tongue-in-cheek
Comedy Central Emmy consideration billboards from previous years.
Next up is an
Emmy consideration billboard for the fourth season of
Billy on the Street with Billy Eichner, who's no doubt also hoping for a nod for the first season of his
Hulu sitcom
Difficult People.
This ad creative for the
"ferociously funny" show where the comedian interviews random people and celebrities on
New York's busy streets was first spotted along
Wilshire Boulevard on June 13, 2016.
Another
Emmy FYC billboard utilising animals this season, at least a dog's paw, is the rookie
TBS police procedural spoof
Angie Tribeca.
This humorous billboard featuring
Rashida Jones looking thoughtful was spied along
La Brea Avenue on June 2, 2016.
Keeping it in the family and here's another billboard for
TBS, this time for the debut season of
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, photographed along
Olympic Boulevard in June 22, 2016.
Will the former correspondent for
The Daily Show receive any acclaim for her satirical observations of current affairs, politics and the latest news, and for the fact she's proven more than capable of taking on the competitive boys club of late-night talk shows.
From the world of political commentary to the world of make believe and can
Syfy's freshman series
The Magicians be able to pull any nominations lout of the hat this awards season?
Based on the 2009 fantasy novel of the same name by
Lev Grossman, this grownup version of
Harry Potter debuted at the start of the year and has already received a second season pickup.
This
FYC billboard for
The Magicians was snapped along
West Hollywood's Sunset Strip on June 6, whilst the series launch
'magic is a drug' billboard also shown here was spotted high over
La Brea Avenue on January 12, 2016.
Another new series hoping to garner some
Emmy acclaim this season is
WGN America's historical period drama,
Underground.
This cast billboard for the show about plantation slaves and the
Underground Railroad in
Antebellum Georgia was captured along
Pico Boulevard on June 2, 2016.
Another infamous tale of generational
African American slavery received a mini-series remake on
History this year for
Memorial Day.
These
Outstanding Suppporting Actress and
Actor billboards for the reimagining of
Roots single out
Anika Noni Rose and
Forest Whitaker for
Emmy consideration, and were spied above
Hollywood's Vine Street on June 1 and along
Pico Boulevard the next day.
Before debuting their season 2.0 ad campaign, last Summer's hit
Mr. Robot was recycling their
'For your consideration' billboards that helped secure the hacker drama's first season two
Golden Globe wins. These
Emmy FYC billboards were captured along
the Sunset Strip on June 16, 2016.
The CW's Jane the Virgin was the network's critical darling for its inaugural season, but can the drama starring
Gina Rodriguez about a girl who gets accidentally impregnated on a routine checkup at the hospital enjoy continued success and accolades.
This consideration billboard for the sophomore season was spotted above the
Whisky A Go-Go venue along the busy
Sunset Strip on June 2, 2016.
From one strong, capable woman to another, and the
legal and political drama
The Good Wife came to an end this year with its seventh and final season.
CBS recycled this
Julianna Margulies image from its 2012 Emmy ad creative for this year's billboard, but can the actress add another primetime
Emmy to the two she already possesses for her iconic role as
'Alicia Florrick'.
This farewell billboard for
The Good Wife was snapped high above
Fairfax Avenue and
Beverly Boulevard on May 12, 2016.
Meanwhile here's an ad for another
CBS show at the start of its journey, the freshman season of
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Taking over
David Letterman's chair hasn't been all smooth sailing for the former host of
The Colbert Report, especially when he has to compete with
Carpool Karaoke, Mean Tweets and other late-night skits and viral videos.
This
Emmy consideration billboard, for the man who's no stranger to taking home a
Primetime Emmy or nine, was snapped along
West Hollywood's Santa Monica Boulevard on May 10, 2016.
Next up are a collection of billboards for
IFC's series which parodies viewers current obsession with documentaries,
Documentary Now!
The first season featured episodes with their own distinct individual documentary style and starred
Bill Hader and
Fred Armisen tackling like likes of
Grey Gardens, soft rock bands, aging socialite recluses and
Mexican drug cartels.
The tongue-in-cheek awards-tailored
'Mother looks beautiful in gold' billboard was spotted along
Sunset Boulevard and the
'FYC you Jagofffs!' ad was snapped along
Pico Boulevard on May 26, 2016.

Meanwhile as a bonus here's also the fun series launch billboards for
Documentary Now! from along
La Brea Avenue and the
Sunset Strip last August 4, 2015.
As you can see from this eclectic selection of outdoor ads,
Emmy season is big business for all the networks and studios (and billboard owners).
This final image photographed along
West Hollywood's Sunset Strip on June 6, 2016 shows four consecutive and different TV show
Emmy consideration billboards in a row (
Master of None, Bates Motel, Outlander and
Shades of Blue to be specific), which illustrates how much this TV industry campaigning takes over the city skyline at this time of year.
If you liked this roundup, make sure you check out all the other
2016 Emmy consideration billboards making a spectacle of themselves at the moment to encourage nominations.
