This year FX seems to have taken a more cohesive approach to their Emmy campaigning, it's not that they have a specific design which unites all their shows, but rather their close proximity primarily along West Hollywood's busy Sunset Strip which gives the cable channel's ads more impact at the beginning of May.
Obviously it helps things stand out when you have strong season key art in the first place and if the critics have had some nice soundbites to say about your show throughout its latest run.
There's no doubt that FX has had some of the best shows on TV these past twelve months, from the likes of 80s sleeper spy show The Americans (now in its fourth season) to the latest ambitious offering in American Horror Story's anthology series, Hotel.
One of the world's most infamous court cases was being revisited with American Crime Story's The People v. O.J. Simpson and movie spin-off Fargo was back for a second season with a new highly-acclaimed original storyline.
This collection of FX Emmy consideration billboards were spied along the Sunset Strip and (Olympic Boulevard) on May 3, 2016, and they did seem to be the first cable channel, network or streaming platform out of the gate this year.
If you like this Emmy outdoor campaign, be sure sure to stick around in weeks to come as more TV series try to garner voter support and nab those coveted nominations (and then the real campaigning will start).
Plus check out all these Emmy billboards from 2015 to see just how competitive the skies of L.A. can becomes at this time of year.
