The heroes in a half shell named after famous Renaissance Italian artists, 'Donatello', 'Michelangelo', 'Raphael' and 'Leonardo', created back in the 80's by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in comic book form, are back to use their martial arts skills to stop enemies old and new.
This time the Ninja Turtles don't only face their arch-nemesis 'Shredder', but they also have to face new mutated foes, 'Rocksteady' and 'Bebop', which should please kids and fans alike.
Fortunately the heroic foursome also have the help of their mutated rat mentor, 'Splinter', and human friends reporter 'April O'Neil' (Megan Fox) and the hockey mask-wearing vigilante 'Casey Jones' (played by Arrow's Stephen Amell).
These TMNT movie sequel billboards were snapped along the Sunset Strip, Melrose Avenue, Santa Monica Boulevard, Beverly Boulevard and Wilshire Boulevard from April 12 to April 20, 2016.
If you're a fan of the pizza-loving crime-fighters from the sewers, be sure to also enjoy these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie billboards from around the streets and skies of Los Angeles in 2014.
Plus be sure to also check out these life-size Leonardo and Donatello Ninja Turtle statues on display in cinemas for the movies release.
If you need help defeating petty criminals, evil warlords, alien invaders, or mutated henchman, sounds like you're in need of some 'Turtle Power'.

UPDATED: Daily Billboard also spied this 'Leonardo' ad creative along Cahuenga Boulevard on May 1, 2016, to complete the fighting foursome. 'Cowabunga, dude!'.

UPDATED: With less than a month before the Ninja Turtles sequel opens in U.S. cinemas a second wave of ad creatives has started to appear in the skies of L.A.
These new billboards feature the teenage heroes coloured bandana masks, which is pretty much a repeat of the outdoor ad campaign for the first movie. There's a certain lack of originality with these billboards, as if they're following a magic formula, but Paramount should be careful as familiarity can breed contempt among cinema goers if an idea becomes stale and predictable.
The trailers for this sequel seem action-packed to say the least, so it's a shame they can't translate that energy, dynamism and excitement into their outdoor advertising. Daily Billboard wants to see nunchucks spying, bo staffs twirling, swords slashing and Ninja Turtles exploding out of these ads.

These followup character billboards were snapped along La Cienega Boulevard, Beverly Boulevard, San Vicente Boulevard and La Brea Avenue on May 11, 2016.
UPDATED: From the looks of things Paramount took Daily Billboard's advice about mixing things up with their outdoor ads.
Just like they did with their Zoolander 2 movie billboards, they once again took over the busy commuter corridor of La Brea Avenue with a whole host of dynamic special extension cut-out character billboards.
Along with the heroic turtles, their mutated enemies Bebop and Rocksteady also crashed the party.

But of all the ads snapped on May 26, 2016, this faux graffitied 'Cowabunga' billboard stood out the best for capturing the youthful, rebellious spirit of the film franchise (and it reminded us of this graffiti-themed Kick-Ass movie billboard from 2010). Gold throwing stars to all involved.
