Money lender SoFi (Social Finance, Inc. to the uninitiated) is back in the skies of Los Angeles of late with a bright new outdoor ad campaign that makes all your Easter eggs seem tame by comparison.
These 'Don't bank' billboards eschew imagery of people in favour of clever copy and simple vibrant background designs, trying to stand out in the crowded city skyline and appeal to young professionals in need of a loan.
The giant-sized SoFi billboard was snapped along Wilshire Boulevard on February 25, whilst the landscape billboards were photographed along San Vicente Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street through March 16, 2016.
Financial services advertising is usually so stuffy, but these ads have a real lightness and touch of levity to them.
Be sure to also compare these to the SoFi's previous Refinance your student loans ad campaign that ran in the city skyline last Summer and Autumn.
What do you think, are these billboard ads great? And would you trust SoFi over a bank when it comes to borrowing money?
Hurry up and make a decision, those Easter eggs and chocolate bunnies are not going to buy themselves.
