Fifteen years after Zoolander's first big screen outing and genius satire of the fashion industry, the clueless male fashion model played by Ben Stiller, notorious for his iconic 'Blue Steel' pose, is back on the runway with Owen Wilson's 'Hansel'.
This time around when the beautiful people of the world are targeted for extermination and die with his signature 'Blue Steel' look on their face, they're joined on the catwalk by Penelope Cruz, who recruits the aging supermodels for Interpol to infiltrate the world of high fashion, where they'll find Kristen Wiig (doing her best Donatella Versace impression) and discover Will Ferrell's 'Jacobim Mugatu' is free from prison and out for revenge.
This fun ad campaign for the highly-anticipated movie sequel, dubbed 'No. 2' like a designer fragrance, not the bowel-movement, is plastered all over the streets and skies of L.A. at the moment.
This special 'Selfie' extra-dimensional billboard along the Sunset Strip featuring Zoolander and Hansel is especially fun and immediately sums up the superficial nature of the characters for a new generation of cinema goers.
The standard and special extension creatives for Zoolander 2 were spied along La Brea Avenue, Beverly Boulevard, Melrose Avenue and Highland Avenue from January 20 to January 24, 2016.

If you're a fan of Ben Stiller, you can also check him out in these Night at the Museum movie billboards, Tower Heist movie billboards, The Watch movie billboards and these billboards for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
You can enjoy more of Owen Wilson in these film billboards for The Internship and this Hall Pass movie billboard, plus check Kristen Wiig out in these Bridesmaids movie billboards and Lifetime's A Deadly Adoption TV movie billboards alongside Will Ferrell.
This February get ready for more vain, stupid and self-centered comedy (and walk-offs to die for) courtesy of the one and only Derek Zoolander (you know you'll be quoting him for years to come again).
UPDATED: Zoolander No. 2 has also turned L.A.'s busy traffic corridor of La Brea Avenue into a veritable fashion catwalk this month, with a series of wonderful character billboards on both sides of the southbound road.
First you'll spy Hansel and Derek Zoolander striking a pose opposite each other on special extension billboards.
Then they are followed by Will Ferrell's 'Mugatu' with his matching fashion accessory poodle, and around the bend you'll glimpse this fun 'Long time no Z' ad creative as part of the campaign.
Sadly the interconnecting duo of billboards with 'Derek' and Kristen Wiig's 'Alexanya Atoz' has been spoiled with graffiti (let's hope Clear Channel Outdoor rectifies that), but you get the idea.
And finally Penelope Cruz gets here moment in the spotlight as the sexy Interpol agent, 'Melanie Valentina', looking divine in red.
Sadly at this time of year the winter sun is too low to really showcase these creatives in the best light during the day, but they still make a wonderful spectacle as you pass along the busy road.
UPDATED: Hoorah, here's the Kristen Wiig billboard with the graffiti removed, which helps show the blue fabric of her outfit flowing into the interconnecting billboard featuring Ben Stiller's Derek Zoolander.
UPDATED: One of Daily Billboard's favourite ad sites in L.A. is the trio of towers of the Figueroa Hotel in Downtown.
As you can see from the fun Zoolander 2 movie example snapped on February 12, 2016, it lends itself to eye-catching creatives.
If you like seeing Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson super-sized, be sure to also check out these Star Trek Into Darkness billboards and G.I. Joe: Retaliation billboards from 2013, these Puss in Boots billboards from 2011 and also these Oakley One Obsession billboards from 2015.
UPDATED: Fans of the comedy sequel can also enjoy these original movie costumes from Zoolander 2 on display.
