Where's her torch and why is she giving the Nazi salute. What kind of world is this?
This my friends is the alternate Earth of Amazon Studios The Man in the High Castle.
The new series is based on science fiction author Philip K. Dick's 1962 novel of the same name and reimagines a different world history in which the Axis powers were victorious in World War II.
The award-winning novel about the Allies losing the war was adapted by Frank Spotniz and stars the likes of Rufus Sewell, Luke Kleintank and Alexa Davalos.
These launch billboards for Amazon's original series are pretty provocative with their Third Reich insignia imagery (Daily Billboard is sure there would have been more of an outcry if the key art had featured the Nazi swastika instead).
The ad creative with Alexa Davalos also intriguingly hints at the mix of Japanese and German influences in this alternate America.

In the series set in the 1960s she find herself undertaking a mission originally meant for her sister to deliver a mysterious roll of film.
These series premiere billboards were first spied along the Sunset Strip on November 12, plus additional examples along Pico Boulevard and at Sunset & Vine in Hollywood through November 17, 2015.
Meanwhile the super-sized Statue of Liberty saluting creative was snapped causing a big spectacle along Wilshire Boulevard on November 16, 2015.
The iconic landmark (in our world a gift to the U.S. from the people of France) has been used in many other ad campaigns before this, so be sure to also check out some of these Statue of Liberty parody and spoof billboards from recent times.
It'll be interesting to see if The Man in the High Castle will be as successful and groundbreaking as another of Amazon's original shows, Transparent, but there's certainly a lot of buzz around this new high concept sci-fi and espionage series.

UPDATED: After a truly gripping debut season The Man in the High Castle certainly deserves to garner some accolades, so fortunately Amazon is supporting the series with this Emmy consideration billboard snapped along L.A.'s Vine Street on May 26, 2016.

As the quote says "evil triumphs only when good men do nothing", so Academy voters be sure to nominate this gem.
Plus here's also a smaller format Emmy consideration ad creative and another example of the large landscape billboard in better light, both spotted along Pico Boulevard on June 2, 2016.

UPDATED: Congratulations to The Man in the High Castle for garnering four Emmy award nominations for its debut season.
Here are two 'Be Brave' Amazon Emmy nomination billboards, featuring Alexa Davalos as 'Juliana Crain', to encourage TV Academy members to vote for the show, spotted along Venice Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard on August 11, 2016.
Fans of the Amazon series can also enjoy these original costume designs from The Man in the High Castle on display.
