The Man from U.N.C.L.E. movie billboards...

With a Summer already filled with sequels, rather than bring us something new and original, you can always depend on Hollywoodland to dig into its vaults and pull out a big screen remake of an old fan-favourite television show instead.

This Summer it's the turn of 60s classic espionage drama, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., to be given a 2015 makeover by Guy Ritchie.

In this retro rebooted version also set in the 1960s, Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer take on the roles originally made famous by Robert Vaughn and David McCallum, 'Napoleon Solo' and 'Illya Kuryakin', an American CIA agent and Soviet KGB operative who must work together on a joint mission against a mysterious organisation with a penchant for nuclear weapons.

These vibrant colour clashing billboards for the movie remake certainly cut through the clutter of other outdoor ads filling the L.A. skyline.

The square ad version was first spied along Wilshire Boulevard on July 9, 2015, whilst the standard landscape billboard was shaped the next day along La Brea Avenue.

If you're a fan of Henry Cavill be sure to also check out these Man of Steel movie billboards and Immortals film billboards, whilst if Armie Hammer is more your cup of tea, enjoy these movie billboards for Disney's The Lone Ranger.

Apparently costume designer Joanna Johnston was asked to make the attire in the film look fabulous and not worry too much about exact authentic time period fashion, so let's hope this remake isn't just style over substance this Summer.
