Here we are years later with comic book characters dominating both the big and small screen and over on NBC they're even resurrecting their own superhuman franchise with the new series, Heroes Reborn.
The 13-episode show is a sequel to the initially critically-acclaimed series created by Tim Kring, which that ran from 2006 to 2010 for four seasons and introduced us to Zachary Quinto's murderous 'Sylar', the 'Petrelli Family', the man in the horn-rimmed glasses, nerdy space-time manipulator 'Hiro', Hayden Panettiere's healing high school cheerleader 'Claire Bennet' and the phrase 'Save the cheerleader, save the world'.

Apparently this new mini-series event will mirror the feel of the most popular first season, where ordinary people discover they have extraordinary abilities. Returning original cast include Jack Coleman as 'Noah Bennet', Jimmy Jean-Loius as 'The Haitian' and Masi Oka as 'Hiro Nakamura', who will be joined by Chuck's Zachary Levi, Once Upon a Time's Robbie Kay and the Step Up movies Ryan Guzman, amongst others.
In the first series an eclipse was central to the mythology of the characters powers, although never fully explained, so this time will our questions be answered, and is this girl controlling those Northern Lights or being transformed by them?
