Happy Fourth of July everyone, and what better way to celebrate Independence Day than some sporty patriotic billboards and the knowledge that the American women's soccer team have qualified for the World Cup final tomorrow.
Now there'll be even more fireworks to celebrate this weekend, as America faces Japan in the final (who narrowly beat England after a costly own goal, although an America versus England match would have truly made for an interesting July Fourth weekend showdown).
Keep your fingers crossed and get your Stars and Stripes waving for your nation's team, just like these red, white and blue billboards for Fox Sports coverage of the Women's World Cup championship taking place over the border in Canada.
This giant-sized flag waving billboard featuring soccer superstar Abby Wambach was snapped along the Sunset Strip (currently under major construction) on May 28, whilst the dynamic 'America has a score to settle' creative featuring fellow Olympic Gold medalist, Alex Morgan, was spotted along Olympic Boulevard on June 6 and above Westwood Boulevard on June 17, 2015.
If you're a fan of women's soccer, be sure to also check out this GNC Live Well ad campaign from 2012 featuring Alex Morgan and Heather Mitts.
Plus for more patriotic billboards this Fourth of July, be sure to also enjoy these Captain America movie billboards, these State of Affairs TV series billboards, these J. Edgar film billboards, these Turn: Washington's Spies season two billboards, and even more ads featuring the Stars and Stripes here at Daily Billboard.
With Obamacare, unemployment levels and marriage equality enjoying major wins recently, the United States of America has a lot to celebrate already, but if the U.S. team can score big this weekend there'll be even more reasons to enjoy the annual festivities.
