In the tradition of the Emmy-winning and ratings success, Hatfields & McCoys from 2012, the new ten-hour mini-series Texas Rising boasts an all-star cast featuring the likes of Bill Paxton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Oliver Martinez, Brendan Fraser, Ray Liotta and more besides.
The historical drama takes place after the Alamo and focuses on Paxton's 'General Sam Houston', a ragtag group of Texas Rangers and Cynthia Addai-Robinson as 'Emily West', the legendary 'Yellow Rose of Texas' herself, as they take on threats of Commanche tribes and the ruthless Mexican 'General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna' (Martinez).

These striking, stylistic billboards for the TV event series are certainly dynamic and set the tone for the Lone Star drama.
The crouched pistol firing creative was first snapped along Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood on a crystal clear April 29, 2015.
Meanwhile the Bill Paxton sword-wielding version was spotted along L.A.'s 3rd Street on May 10 and the horseback billboard featuring a wild Ray Liotta was captured along Olympic Boulevard on May 17, 2015.
What do you think, will you be watching Texas rise this Memorial Day?
Plus stay tuned in the days to come for another themed TV WEEK here at Daily Billboard.
