This fun creative where the future inmate and prison coach share a telephone call through a protective screen certainly evokes the incarceration theme of the film.
It's even funnier when this billboard creative is split in two and placed on opposites sides of the road, like this eye-catching example along the busy Pico Boulevard.
However, whilst the premise of the movie sounds amusing there's also a heavy dose of racial stereotyping with Get Hard, which is addressed in the movie with the sentenced James King assumes Hart's 'Darnell Lewis' has been to jail because of the colour of his skin and his job at a car wash, when in fact he hasn't.
Darnell plays along and of course R-Rated hilarity ensues as he prepares the clueless millionaire for a tough life in the slammer.
The landscape 'telephone call' creative was first spied along Sunset Boulevard on February 24, whilst the split duo of billboards were snapped on opposite sides of the road on March 4, 2015.
Meanwhile the 'braiding cornrows' creative was photographed along La Brea Avenue, whilst the 'teardrop tattoo and whistle' billboard was spotted along Beverly Boulevard the same day.
These tear-away phone number 'get hard/got hard' fly posters also add another witty element to the out-of-home ad campaign for the movie.
This heavyweight outdoor ad campaign is hard to miss around the streets of L.A. at the moment, but only time will tell if it will convince cinema goers to spend some time in front of the big screen at the end of March.
If you're a fan of Will Ferrell, be sure to also check out these cool movie billboards for The Campaign and this outdoor ad campaign for Anchorman 2.
And if you're an admirer of Kevin Hart, enjoy this giant Real Husbands of Hollywood billboard and these film billboards for The Wedding Ringer.
