The network usually picks and chooses which shows to invest in heavily when it comes to outdoor ads, and this gritty new drama from the screenwriter of 12 Years a Slave certainly has received a heavyweight ad campaign, with billboards wherever you look in the skies of L.A. at the moment.
These sunny ad creatives certainly do stand out against the Southern Californian blue skies and the juxtaposition of Felicity Huffman back-to-back with Timothy Hutton, whilst the seeming young lovers Caitlin Gerard and Elvis Nolasco are face-to-face, really help create some tension and drama.
This compelling drama explores the aftermath of a home invasion murder, which leaves a war veteran dead and his wife assaulted in Modesto, California.
The series will focus on the victims, the suspects and their families during the murder trial, examining very topical issues of race, ethnicity, religion, class and gender surrounding this life-altering event.
These series premiere billboards were spied around the streets of L.A. from February 9 to February 12, 2015, at Sunset & Vine, along Highland Avenue, in multiple locations along Sunset Boulevard and Melrose Avenue to name but a few billboard sites.
By the sounds of things, if American Crime proves to be a success and returns for a sophomore season, it may focus on a whole new cast and situation, following in the footsteps of other recent anthology series American Horror Story and True Detective.
