The landscape of TV viewing has changed dramatically over the past few years and undoubtedly it'll continue to develop in the months to come.
Whereas networks and cable channels had to watch their back with streaming upstarts Netflix, Hulu and Amazon, it looks like YouTube wants in on the action with web series like Video Game High School.
Now in its third season, YouTube is shining a spotlight on the action comedy about an exclusive academy that teaches the curriculum of video games of all genres where in the near future video gaming has been elevated to the ultimate competitive sport.
Video Game High School follows the exploits of 'BrianD' as he navigates the usual hormonal school dramas, making friends and enemies like 'Ki Swan','Jenny Matrix', Ted' and 'The Law', all with a video game twist of gun shootouts, martial arts fights, superpowers and epic fantasy sword battles.
Josh Blaylock, Ellary Porterfield, Johanna Braddy, Jimmy Wong and Brian Firenzi must be thrilled that their web series is such a prominent part of YouTube's high profile outdoor ad campaign giving their show some major league attention, like this action-packed giant-sized wall mural snapped along Park Avenue at 23rd Street in New York City on November 2, 2014.
Meanwhile the skies of L.A. have also been full of VGHS season three billboards, spied along Sunset Boulevard, La Brea Avenue and Beverly Boulevard from October 15 to October 24, 2014.
If you're fan of video gaming, be sure to also check out all these cool video game billboards from recent times.
Looks like YouTube wants to take its content delivery platform to the next level, will you be watching?
