Taking place in Maine, New England over the series of many decades, the series explores Olive's relationships with her husband, 'Henry' (played by Richard Jenkins), and their son, 'Christopher', plus though her eyes the secret lives of the townsfolk around her and all their affairs, crimes, joys and tragedies.
These billboards for the dramatic mini-series with Olive's arched eyebrows hint at the fact she's observing events around her and at the high standards she holds everyone and the world at large to.
The landscape bulletin was snapped along Melrose Avenue on October 8, whilst the giant-sized billboard was spotted towering over the Sunset Strip westbound on October 25, 2014.
This design focus on Frances McDormand's eyes immediately reminded Daily Billboard of these season eleven billboards for the Ellen Degeneres show, although the comedienne's eyes are far more playful.
She's watching everyone else pass by, but will you be watching Olive Kitteridge tonight?

UPDATED: Frances McDormand has already been nominated for her titular performance by the Golden Globes and she may not have won (although she did win a Screen Actors Guild Award), but there's still an Emmy within her grasp (although the actress herself always seems a bit nonplussed by the whole affair).
Here's her "Masterpiece" Emmy billboard for Olive Kitteridge spied along Sunset Boulevard on May 19, 2015 and it's part of HBO's 2015 Emmy Consideration billboard campaign, so be sure to check them all out.
