Happy Halloween, although 'happy' never seems quite appropriate on today's spooky annual festivities.
If you're a fan of frights, then Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights are probably your cup of tea (or witches brew at least), with all its nighttime thrills, themed interactive mazes and scare zones based on iconic horror TV and film franchises.
This year AMC's phenomenally successful zombie apocalypse drama, The Walking Dead, is back in the skies of L.A. to promote the annual events and the theme park's ad creatives are always much more graphic, with full on rotting flesh zombie imagery, than the television show ever goes for in its more subtle outdoor advertising.
In addition to The Walking Dead, the horror this year is provided by the likes of iconic sci-fi franchises Alien vs. Predator, plus new monster movies like Dracula Untold and disturbing film sequels like The Purge: Anarchy.
New TV spin-offs like From Dusk Till Dawn and cinematic classics like An American Werewolf in London also provide creatures like vampires and lycanthropes to terrorize visitors, then to provide further nightmares for guests, there's a gaggle of creepy clowns to provide some unforgettable haunting memories, plus many more Halloween scares to be had.
The Walking Dead themed ad creative was first spied high over San Vicente Boulevard on September 14, whilst the smaller version was snapped the next day along the Sunset Strip.
Meanwhile the Alien vs Predator billboard was spotted along Ventura Boulevard in Studio City on October 9, 2014.
If you're a fan of Universal Studios Hollywood's annual blood curdling festivities, be sure to also check out these Halloween Horror Nights billboards from years past and if you're a fan of the TV show, enjoy these cool season promo billboards for The Walking Dead.
Here's hoping you all have a horrific Halloween (and we mean that it the nicest way possible).
