That's the premise of Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel's new R-rated comedy, about a married couple who try and recapture the passion of their youth by making a Sex Tape, only to have it automatically synch with their cloud storage for all their friends, family and work colleagues to see.
In the new comedy from the director of Bad Teacher, Jake Kasden, to spice up their marriage which has descended into the exhausting pedestrian life of daily chores, work and parenthood, the couple decide to make their own private dirty movie to reignite the magic in the bedroom department.
Unfortunately, like most people these days, they find the wonders of modern technology has totally bitten them in the behind and they'll go to any lengths to make sure the people they know never see their homemade Sex Tape.
The alternative 'They forgot to delete it' ad creatives, with Cameron Diaz looking suitably aghast, were spotted driving along Venice Boulevard and along Robertson Boulevard on June 24, 2014.
Daily Billboard also likes the nice design touch with the play symbol in the 'P' of Tape on the landscape version of the ads, it's the little things that count.
If you're an admirer of Cameron Diaz, be sure to also check out these movie billboards for Bad Teacher and Knight and Day.
Meanwhile if you're a fan of Jason Segel, also take a look at these billboards for The Muppets movie and The Five-Year Engagement film billboards.
Let's hope this is one Sex Tape worth watching and not something you're left wishing you'd never seen.

UPDATED: Managed to spy another unobscured version of the square 'They forgot to delete it' billboard along Fairfax Avenue on June 30, 2014. Also realised if you Google 'Sex Tape' movie it's a bit of a minefield, so interesting choice of name.
