The teaser billboard for the movie seemed to feature some undisclosed beachhead battle, but the latest, lighter creative has added a war ravaged Trafalgar Square in London to give it a bit more impact and real world destruction.
Maybe it's more the battle exo-suits that Daily Billboard has a problem with, as the last film with something similar was Matt Damon in Elysium and that was a very disappointing film, it had a cool social commentary sci-fi premise but just descended into two men in exo-suits punching each other.
In Tom Cruise's latest sci-fi action flick he's a soldier battling an alien invasion when he gets caught in a time loop and has to repeat the battle over and over again, a bit like Groundhog Day. This time he's joined by Emily Blunt experiencing a similar thing, as they get more and more skilled as they live, die and repeat the fight.
The bleaker and in our mind more atmospheric teaser billboard was spied along Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood on March 26, 2014, whilst the new brighter creatives were snapped along Fairfax Avenue, Beverly Boulevard, Melrose Avenue and the Sunset Strip on May 14, 2014.
If you're a fan of the A-List Hollywood actor, be sure to take a look out all these Tom Cruise movie billboards from recent years.
Plus if you're an admirer of the British actress, be sure to check out all these Emily Blunt movie billboards from around the skies of L.A. in the past.
Let's hope that Edge of Tomorrow is more than just a rehash of violent low brow eye-candy and it offers some high brow science fiction and an engaging story to keep audiences entertained.

P.S. In our humble opinion, the best exo-suit wearing hero is cinematic history has to be Sigourney Weaver's 'Ellen Ripley' facing off against the Alien Queen in her Power Loader in 1986's Aliens.
UPDATED: Not content to have a billboard for Edge of Tomorrow on nearly every street corner in L.A., Warner Bros. Pictures have also rolled out the big guns to support to the new sci-fi movie.
This giant-sized wallscape creative with the exo-suit wearing actors in a new pose was snapped on the side of the Sofitel Hotel along Beverly Boulevard on May 21, 2014.

UPDATED: Here's another duo of different creatives for the movie adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka's All You Need is Kill novel, one showcasing Emily Blunt's character and the other Tom Cruise.
These complimentary ad creatives were snapped at the intersection of San Vicente and Olympic Boulevards on May 25, 2014.
