Dracula is reborn in the second wave of new season shows, as other freshman series are already starting to falter and drop dead.
The actor is no stranger to playing iconic historical figures, after playing King Henry VIII for four seasons in The Tudors, and even though Dracula may owe more to supernatural fable and folklore than real events, it looks like the Golden Globe winner is bringing sexy back to the late 19th century.
For once Daily Billboard isn't going to say anything about networks running out of ideas and recycling such a classic gothic horror literary character as Bram Stoker's Transylvanian count, but instead is going to applaud the restraint of the series premiere creative for the new show.
There's not a fang in sight and this promo, whilst Dracula's red eye and the blue vein on the exposed neck are nice subtle touches.
These Dracula billboards were spotted along Sunset Boulevard on October 5, plus along Beverly Boulevard on October 11, 2013, just in time for Halloween.
If you're a fan of the devilishly handsome actor, be sure to also check out these Jonathan Rhys Meyers billboards for The Tudors.

And when you think about it, it's quite appropriate this vampiric new show has been given the notorious Friday night death slot. Let's just hope it won't be a scheduling curse.

UPDATED: Here's a larger billboard for the new Dracula TV series snapped along Sunset Boulevard on October 16, 2013.
